We all did a lot ofexercise and training. it is so important as a mother to stay in good shape to keep up with your kids, but also tobe the healthy role model and to set an example so that they too grow up fit and healthy.
Freshly squeezed juices are one of the best way to cleanse and detox your body.
For those who are following my cleanse in my newsletter to help flush systems after the delicious Thanksgiving meal, the recipe for my cleansing veggie juice is below. But firstly it is important to know that you must use a what's known as a masticating juicer that extracts the juice by pressing and crushing and squeezing as opposed to the more traditional centrifugal juicers. Centrifugal juicers operate with fast spinning blades which essentially chop up the veggies into tiny little pieces. This as well as the heat generated from the fast spinning blades kills the enzymes which are vital for our health and digestion. I spent almost $300 on a good juicer, one from Omega Nutrition and it is worth it. Invest is a good juicer and make sure that you are getting all the enzymes, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals from your juice!.
Here is a quick and easy recipe for my favourite smoothie. If you want a little bit of a sugar hit after training, this is perfect. It is also ideal when paired with a couple of eggs for breakfast which will give you a balanced meal of protein (eggs) fats (eggs) and carbs (smoothie). I always use almond milk or coconut milk. The only dairy I use is unsweetened greek yogurt. That is because the live active cultures are so good for your gut health which helps keep your immune system strong. .
- 1 cup of almond milk - 1/2 banana - 1 cup of strawberries - 1 tbsp chia seeds For the smoothie add banana, strawberries and chia seeds to the almond milk. Blend thoroughly.

If you want to change your life you have to be willing to do something different than you are already doing now. You have to be willing to get out of your comfort zone. A life lived in fear is a life half lived. Every day is a new opportunity to work towards your dreams. You can have or do whatever you want, you just have to be willing to go for it. Have the courage to make these changes because this is the only life you are getting and you have to make everyday count.
