This coming weekend marks the 8th anniversary for Girls In Gis, which is an amazing organization dedicated to bringing women together in BJJ and providing a support network. Girls in Gis have grown exponentially over the past few years and it is so awesome to see how collectively woman can build something so amazing. I am super honoured to be the guest instructor along with the super talented Hannette Staack. We will both be sharing some techniques in a seminar the following day. This is a time to train but to also relax, recharge and focus on you. Who says broccoli is boring? There are so many ways that we can make super healthy food delicious and still keep it healthy, in that it is mostly raw to retain all the enzymes which we need for digestion (and pretty much every other function in our bodies). Broccoli is loaded with vitamins and minerals and has anti cancer and anti inflammatory properties.

My Master Worlds Camp that I held last week at the UFC gym in Blue Diamond turned out to be unreal!. There were so many different people from so many different parts of the word who attended. We had people from Europe, Canada, Australia, Mexico and all across the USA. The morning workshops were ladies only and the evening sessions were for both guys and girls. It was a good opportunity for me to be able to teach techniques that work better for women in the morning sessions but then also share the love of BJJ in general in the evening sessions.
The focus of all the sessions were to keep sharp and stay moving. I did lots of drilling and reps for fundamental movement patterns and we discussed points and strategies.
The evening session had a great turn out of men too. Gone are the days where only men taught. Ladies are out in the front teaching also. Jiu Jitsu is Jiu Jitsu and we can learn from everyone regardless of gender or size.
So many of the peeps who attended went onto compete and medaled at the podium. I am super proud of all of you for getting out there and putting it all on the line!

The Master Worlds Training Camp starts this weekend!!! The focus of the camp is to polish your A game. To work on a game plan, strategy, guard pulls, take downs, grip breaks, point system.. all the while the athlettes are getting acclimated here in Las Vegas. I will also be showing techniques that work really well for women and covering topics such as nutrition and weight cutting.
