Way back when I had a tan. The tan comes and goes. But one things for sure, I’ve always had muscles.
Adding some lean tissue on your body requires 3 things: proper nutrition, the right type of training (including the movement patters, intensity, reprange and rest) and finally sleep.

I was honoured to spend some time today with the amazing Lena Walther who is an activist for sex trafficking prevention with the focus on protecting girls and children. Her website is here: https://aipnv.org/ We planning on putting on some self defense workshops geared towards developing awareness and prevention and basic self defense skills standing up and on the ground directed at the parents and daughters. Sex trafficking is rife around the world hugely prevalent in Las Vegas and It’s important to know that it’s not as cut and dry as it seems. There is loads of manipulation involved and if you aren’t aware of it, your child could be getting roped into one of these situations. Lena explained that a lot of the ‘seduction process’ is via social media. Awareness is the first step and knowing the ‘signs’.

I have been teaching a lot of self defense workshops lately and what is so great about this is that more and more people are wanting to empower themselves with essential skills to stay safe. But also more corporate companies are wanting to provide this knowledge to their employees for a safer work place.
Just last week I did a demonstration at the MGMGrand ballroom for 350 people who had never seen anything like this before followed by a workshop to another group at Browns Gymnastics in LV. It is so empowering to be building awareness and know that I can share with everyone the tools to stay safe and hopefully diffuse a possible situation.
I guide the class through specific techniques both standing up and on the ground, basic safety precautions and I and discuss the phycological aspects of self defense such as speaking up and trusting your intuition.

Here is to 2020, whereby for me it is a year of glamour and style. I am here to show that women can do both if they want to. They can be that tough, strong athlete and they can also be glamorous and feminine ladies. There is no need to repress femininity, beauty or sexuality to be respected and/or taken seriously as an athlete. There is no need to repress any part of us that needs to be expressed and defines who we are. #femininestrength is the strongest and most powerful thing there is. #womenmakethewmorldgoround #powerofshe
